Well, folks, according to our handy countdown clock, we've got just under 80 days before the midterm election.
The clock isn't technically wrong. But it's only partially right.
You see, your personal countdown clock really depends on what type of voter you are:
- If you vote on Election Day, you indeed have about two and a half months until you step into the voting booth.
- If you vote during the early voting period, you can start casting a ballot as soon as October 24.
- If you vote by mail, your election window opens on September 19 — which is just a little over a month away.
Taken together, there's only one reasonable conclusion to draw.
The election is now.
That's why D2DD has been out and about all summer long. We've been pounding the pavement, speaking and listening to voters, and getting them ready to cast their ballots for Rebecca Bennett and Democratic down-ballot candidates in September, October, AND November.
Don't let this critical moment in the history of our nation pass you by — join us NOW, for the most serious and consequential work you'll ever do!
As always, we'll be working every day with our friends and partners to empower the civic life of our communities, strengthen representative democracy here in New Jersey, and restore checks and balances in the halls of Congress this November.
