Door-to-door democracy: WHAT WE DO

DOOR-TO-DOOR'S PIECE OF THE PUZZLE: Civic engagement, getting out the vote

Door-to-Door Democracy began in early 2024 as an initiative to engage and educate voters in the most underrepresented rural areas of New Jersey. We are on the ground knocking on doors and having face-to-face conversations with friends and neighbors about the issues; working to register voters; educating citizens about the nuts and bolts of our democracy; and getting out the vote for the campaigns, candidates, and policies that promote the democratic values we so strongly believe in.

Today, in the age of Trump – when so much of our political life and discourse has been nationalized – we are planning to extend this idea to state and national politics through forming partnerships and coalitions with other grassroots groups, allowing a larger and stronger pro-democracy movement to grow and take deeper root organically.
